Anatomy Trainings "Kinesthetic Learning is a teaching and learning style in which learning takes place by the student actually carrying out a physical activity, rather than listening to a lecture or watching a demonstration. Students with this predominant learning style are natural discovery learners; they have realizations through doing, as opposed to having thought first before initiating action." ![]() 5 Day Anatomy and Yoga Intensive in Boulder Great for yoga teachers and students who are interested in deepening their knowledge of the human body. Her extensive knowledge is impressive and building your own body parts with clay really helped me understand anatomy in a new way. I also enjoyed the simple poses to illustrate the clay work. Anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge of the human body will enjoy this workshop. Cynthia Funk Co-Director of the Yoga Sanctuary Laura Allard's anatomy workshop is a must for yoga students and teachers interested in learning about anatomy and how it relates to yoga. I can't imagine a better way to learn about the musculature than by building it with clay from the bones up! In a topic that, let's face it, could be quite daunting if not approached playfully, Laura has found a way to make learning anatomy fun and hands on. A perfect mix of clay building time (you'll feel like you're in kindergarten again!) and asana practice to apply what you've learned, you'll really come away with a solid understanding of anatomy...and be thirsty for more! Monica Krajewski Yoga Teacher Laura Allard is a very knowledgeable teacher. Not only does she have advanced knowledge of Yoga Asana practice, but she has good knowledge of anatomy and how the two interact. Self knowledge can, and ought, to apply not only to the soul but also the body; the man without insight into the fabric of his body has not complete knowledge of himself.." John Muir, student of anatomy, notes from opening lecture of Anatomical Education, University of Scotland, year 1620 "Right here is where the wonder begins" Albinus, 1765 "Let me advise you to pursue the same course through life, recollecting that, even as practitioners, you must still be students. Knowledge is endless, and the most experienced person will find that he still has much to learn."
