Yoga Class Descriptions Level 1 Ongoing class for beginning and continuing students. New postures are learned and all basic asanas (postures) are practiced along with relaxation. This level sets a foundation for learning the depth of the Iyengar method. All Levels This mixed level offers a wider range of poses including standing poses, beginning inversions, back arches, forward bends and twists. A deeper study emphasizing the intelligence and effects of the asanas on the mind and body. Level 2 and 3 For experienced students. In addition to refining familiar poses, variations and more challenging poses will be explored. Yoga for Kids Introduce your child to a variety of enjoyable yoga practices designed to enhance his or her flexibility, coordination, balance and ability to focus. For children ages 7-12 years old; mature 6 year olds may attend. Yoga Restorative Enjoy a weekly midday restorative practice focusing on supported asanas All levels are welcome at any time. Iyengar Yoga Immersion with Laura Allard Immersion means prioritizing your practice for a certain period of time: to immerse in a yoga practice for a few days, to travel within your yoga practice with fewer distractions along with like-minded people. It can be transformative and is an opportunity to dedicate yourself to your practice. These classes can be taken as single classes - known as a 'shallow immersion' and you can start anytime.
